The Fund seeks to provide long term capital growth by investing at least 80% of its total assets in the equity securities of companies domiciled in, or exercising the predominant part of their economic activity in GCC countries. The Fund will aim to invest in publicly listed equity securities within the Shari’ah-compliant investment universe of the Index. The Fund may invest in initial public offerings (i) whose shares are not included in the investment universe of the Index at the time of investment, (ii) which the Investment Adviser has a reasonable expectation will be included into the Index in the near future. The Fund may also invest in other CIS, including exchanged traded funds which have been screened and approved by the Shari’ah Panel prior to such investments, ensuring compliance with the Shari’ah principles.
